Sigma Nus are students first and we pride ourselves in our academic achievements and graduation rates for our brothers. We foster an environment focused on academic achievement and develop young men to have the skills necessary to be successful in college and beyond.

It’s why we have consistently been recognized by UC Davis as a top GPA chapter across all social fraternities every year since we were founded in 2009 and received the 2020 Sigma Nu Regent's Award for Academic Excellence among 200 Sigma Nu chapters!

Blair Fox Scholarship Fund

Sigma Nu is fortunate to have a network of alumni donating to our scholarship fund in which we award over $4,000 to brothers each year. These scholarships often cover costs such as fraternity dues, tuition, rent or other costs.

This scholarship fund is dedicated to our dear brother, Blair Fox, who passed on to the Chapter Eternal too soon before his time. You can learn more about Blair and how he who embodied the values, attitude, and compassion that epitomizes the ideal Sigma Nu.

Blair rushed Sigma Nu during the fall quarter of his freshman year in 2016 and was initiated with the Alpha Beta candidate class. He personified professionalism, friendliness, and kindness— he left a positive influence on everyone he interacted with, and demonstrated his genuine love for others through his words and actions. Blair was an academically and professionally motivated Economics major, a dedicated member of the Model United Nations club at UC Davis, a strong influence within the Davis community, and the type of sociable person that made everyone feel as if they were his best friend.

Blair passed away on December 19, 2017 in a skiing accident in Lake Tahoe. One thing is clear among Blair’s wide social circle: his warmth touched the lives of everyone in a positive manner, and his legacy continues to inspire those who knew him.

Blair’s family has created the Blair Fox Scholarship Fund in his honor to support undergraduate UC Davis students. Each year, Sigma Nu donates all proceeds from our philanthropy, Sigma Noodles, as well as receives donations from our alumni.

Blair was a brother, a best friend, a loving son, and undoubtedly one of the best people to ever become a Sigma Nu. Not a day goes by that he isn’t missed, and his memory serves as a solemn reminder to every brother to continue to uphold his legacy.
